Bio
Born and raised in the center of the New Jersey Music Scene of the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s, Antoine Cerf has always found music to be the center of his life. His mother nurtured his early interest in music by working hard and saving the money to purchase a second hand bass guitar from a local want ad. Soon he was developing his skills as a musician and expanding his abilities to other instruments. Eventually, he became proficient in saxophone, piano, mandolin, drums and his favorite instrument, the guitar.
During his formative years Antoine drew inspiration from his working-class and patriotic upbringing. Progressive Rock influences such as Pink Floyd, Genesis, Rush as well as classic rock, country and Americana music shaped his writing and playing styles.
As a teen and throughout his twenties, Antoine was a part of several acts working and playing their way through the New York City and New Jersey club circuit. After spending nearly a decade as a working musician, Antoine stepped away from the performance phase of his career to develop his musical and writing skills as well as to dedicate time to being a devoted father to his daughter.
Emerging from his musical performance hiatus, Antoine has recently been collaborating with many musicians and performing live as a solo acoustic singer songwriter. Today, Antoine brings his unique blend of musical styles to audiences and venues throughout the Tri-State area, AND to areas throughout the midlands of his new home, South Carolina. Antoine continues performing as a solo artist, writing and recording his own work and collaborating with other local artists on various projects and musical works.
